Jack Hodgy is a musician, singer, and songwriter. He has been playing guitar since the age of eight and is currently in his final year at BIMM University in Birmingham. Jack recently formed a band called "The Tysms," which has been going for a little over a year. In addition to being the rhythm guitarist, songwriter, and singer in The Tysms, Jack also manages the band's finances and marketing. He dreams of becoming a full-time musician and leaving his past of working at fast-food restaurants behind.
Music has been a constant presence in Jack's life since birth. He began recording music at the age of eleven, releasing a track called "Dream Love" in collaboration with a childhood friend. This early experience ignited a passion for music production and performance, inspiring him to continue writing and recording. Seven years later, Jack released "Find My Way Back Home," a song that surprised not only others but also himself with how well the song was produced. Find My Way Back Home was released not long after he turned 18 and was recorded at Select Studios, London. Ever since that little visit to London, he's been aspiring to produce as well as the producer Paul Miles. "Edge of the Storm" came along recently reaching the level of production he's been aiming for and has now gone on to spend some time recording a new well- produced album which has not yet been released.
One of the tracks he's recently created for the album is "I Need To Get By" as well as a new studio version of "Let Me Be" which is a previous demo of his, both songs came about during his time with The Tysms. Jack has been closely collaborating with his band recording demos which may one day rise to the surface of media streaming platforms. Jack and his lead guitarist Will have been working on a track called "Real Emotion" which reflects largely on heartbreak where two paths meet and they both relate their past stories into one song. These are all yet to be released at some point in the future.
"Edge of the Storm" was a song that came out of nowhere and is now known as one of his best songs. This song, as some people may realize, is inspired by "Council Skies" by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. The song really resonated with Jack, and he changed up the chords a little bit, resulting in possibly one of the best songs he's written.
